5 Local Restaurants That Inspire My Jewelry Designs

As a jewelry designer and lover of all things local, I find inspiration in the most unexpected places—especially in the restaurants that bring our community to life. There’s something about the way a space is styled, how a dish is plated, or even the mood of a room that sparks creativity inside of me. I’m excited to share five of my favorite local restaurants that inspire some of my jewelry designs.

1. Good LuckBold + Industrial-Chic Setting

A tried & true favorite of mine, Restaurant Good Luck offers a dining experience that blends bold, seasonal cuisine with an eclectic, industrial-chic ambiance. The exposed brick walls and mix of vintage and modern furnishings create an atmosphere that is both cozy and sophisticated—much like the jewelry pieces I aim to create.

Inspired by their fresh & inventive entrees and cocktails, I’m reminded of how texture, color, and unexpected combinations can elevate both food and design.

2. Pearson’sEclectic & Creative

Walking into Pearson’s feels like stepping into a work of art. What makes Rochester’s dining scene so special is the intention and creativity behind each space, and Pearson’s is a perfect example of that. The Swan family’s restaurants have a unique way of blending style with comfort, and Pearson’s effortlessly brings together an eclectic yet inviting atmosphere that always gives me an instant mood boost.

3. Fiamma Rustic & Charming

Fiamma blends tradition with bold, seasonal flavors and puts a modern twist on a traditional Italian. The intimate, rustic ambiance—with warm tones and charming details—creates the perfect setting for a cozy, yet elevated dining experience. It’s a place that feels like home, but with the unmistakable charm of feeling transported to Italy.

Located in the heart of Rochester, Strangebird Brewing is vibrant and brings people together in a modern, approachable, and comfortable environment. With rotating taps of high-quality beer and a menu featuring made-from-scratch, locally sourced, and seasonal food, Strangebird offers a unique experience for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Their vibrant, community-centered atmosphere reminds me of the importance of texture, variety, and balance in my own work, as well as the value of supporting local — something I am quite passionate about.
